About Me
My name is Karen Du and I’m a full-stack developer. I’ve spent the past 12 years working in the film and video industry as a cinematographer and video editor. Whether I’m troubleshooting a camera or assembling an edit, my interest has always lied in the technical aspects of the industry.
During the pandemic, there was a drastic shift in the film industry that pushed me to seek something new in my life and directed me towards coding. I learned to code and started working with local businesses, creating websites and applications to help grow their clientele. Through these projects, I’ve gained valuable client-facing experience as well as improved my technical skills, and I'm eager to explore new challenges, collaborate on innovative projects, and continue my journey of growth in the ever-changing tech landscape.
